Abstract

Based on the 181 satellites images (LANDSAT-5, 7, 8) period of 2007…2016 years, an analysis of the operation modes of the two dominant artificial reservoirs of the Chinese sector of the Ile River basin was carried out in the aspect of the inter-years (inter-seasonal) control of the Ile River runoff. When considering the hydrological season in the time frame from May 1 to April 30, which corresponds to the period between the seasonal minimum of the water deposite in the artificial reservoirs, a trend is recorded to reduce the volume of the River Ile runof. Moveover during last three years the off-season regulation of the River Ile runoff was absent.
