According to global research, a trend of rising air temperatures and an increased frequency of extreme weather events has been observed over recent decades. Studying the climatic predisposition of regions to extreme events, particularly fires, is a pressing contemporary issue. This study aimed to define current air temperature trends in Eastern Kazakhstan on annual, seasonal, and monthly scales. The non-parametric Mann-Kendall test and Sen's slope estimation were used for analysis, while co-kriging interpolated the data to create spatial distributions. The study revealed a significant increasing trend in average and maximum temperatures across most of Eastern Kazakhstan. Statistically significant changes are primarily observed during spring and summer, with some stations experiencing increases from 0.2 to 1.0 °C per decade. The most consistent and significant warming trends were recorded in March and April.
